“Greatest Vacation Ever!”
Kevin and Elizabeth started chartering Sailboats in 2008 on a Festiva Sailing vacation in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) and if you know Kevin very well, you know he can’t sit still very long and enjoys staying busy. As a matter of fact, Kevin boasts the fact that even on his first charter, he has always had his own GPS and electronic charts that were better than what the boat or captain had on board, including the passages he has served as crew. This comes from his past experience as a licensed pilot. The year following their first charter they attended American Sailing Association (ASA) classes in Key West, FL while they lived aboard a Fountaine Pajot 38′ sailing catamaran for a week. Shortly thereafter, they returned to the BVI on their first bareboat charter (renting the boat and serving as their own skipper). Two other couple friends, Clay & Susan Pruitt & Tony & Jeni Little, joined them on their first lone adventure and were quick to say “It was the Best Vacation Ever!” They’ve been going back every year since…
The Leopard 50 is a beautifully crafted sailing catamaran built by Robertson & Caine in Cape Town, South Africa. Featuring four lounging areas, you’ll have plenty of room to socialize or get away from it all.
Captain Kevin and Elizabeth King discovered their love for sailing in 2008 after taking a sailing vacation. The King’s have a unique story in that they met at the age of 2 and also celebrate the same birthday.
